Rourkela: National Institute of Technology(NIT), Rourkela and Skill Development and Technical Education Department, Government of Odisha signed a memorandum of understandings for skill development. NIT Rourkela will act as a mentor and knowledge partner covering all related fields to re-skill and up-skill trainers and trainees of government ITI.
NIT will also design and provide services for upgrading ITI campuses. The motive is to provide futuristic facilities to the trainers and trainees of the new ITIs. According to the MoU, NIT will allow the trainees and trainers of government ITIs to visit their campus and they can avail hands-on practices on high-end machinery. Wherever necessary NIT Rourkela will provide infrastructural and intellectual support for the effective implementation of MoU. During the MoU signing process NITR director Professor Animesh Biswas and director of technical education, Government of Odisha Shri Balwant Singh was present there.
