Sambalpur: Mr A K Jha, Chairman & Managing Director, Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL) today felicitated swimming sensation Ms Pratyasa Ray, Class 10 student of Buxi Jagabandhu English Medium School, Bhubaneswar, for her excellence in sport at national level.
M/s Pratyasa, 15, who had exceptionally performed well in swimming with 3 Gold at 43rd Junior National Aquatic Championship-2016, bagged 4 Gold and a Silver at South Asian Aquatic Championship in Srilanka last year, won a Silver at 44th Junior National Aquatic Championship-2017 held recently in Pune.
While presenting a cheque of Rs one lakh to Ms Pratyasa as a token of appreciation, Mr Jha said that MCL had a focus on promoting sportsperson at grass root level in Odisha.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were Ms Pratyasa, Mr Rajat Kumar Ray and Ms Charushree Behura and Mr B.B. Mishra, General Manager, MCL, Bhubaneswar.
