Complementing State’s Primary Education: JK Paper provides a school building

Report by Badal Tah; Rayagada: In the recently conducted HSC examination, the performance of Rayagada district is far from satisfaction as a result of which the district is reduced to 25th rank in the state of Odisha. It is presumed that this state of affairs is due to sheer negligence of the teaching staff. Some also attribute the cause to be infrastructure and staff deficit. The foundation of education is the primary education, which is not seriously taken by the system. At this juncture, to strengthen the Govt’s primary schooling, corporate like JK Paper Mills Ltd of Jaykay Pur have come forward for infrastructure development.

He appealed the locals to come forward for the development of the new School.

The Collector Behera advised the students not only to perform well in education but also to be physically fit & healthy. He assured to help for betterment of the School as much as possible from his end.

“JK’s effort in making the primary education smart and qualitative is certainly appreciable. They also need to look into the staff deficit and chip in till the Govt fills up the gap. A few other initiatives like this should be taken up by JK to set a model before the slowly denigrating education in Rayagada. Other corporate must follow JK’s model and replicate this process in their periphery”, said Professor Rama Chandra Pattanaik, a well known educationist of the region.
