Report by Kanhu Panda; Paradip: The 72nd Independence Day was celebrated at Paradip Refinery. G.S.Singh, Executive Director (In Charge), Paradip Refinery unfurled the National Flag at Paradip Refinery Sports Complex on Wednesday. G.S.Singh inspected the parade comprising of CISF, CISF Fire Wing, DGR Security and Delhi Public School, Paradip Refinery students. Executive Director (In Charge) addressed the large gathering. He paid homage to freedom fighters. Shri G.S.Singh, ED(I/C) thanked all employees and their family members, stakeholders, consultants, contractors and their teams, CISF, the local communities and nearby villagers for their whole hearted support and cooperation.
On this occasion, 94 students from nearby schools & colleges belonging to 08 Panchayats (Paradipgarh, Fatepur, Dhinkia, Kothi, Gandakipur, Biswali, Bagadia & Mangarajpur) were presented with Meritorious Award.
CISF contingent of Paradip Refinery presented a demonstration on weapons drill, modern security procedures and practices followed by a Cultural programme.
