Mumbai: Yash Raj Films unveiled trailer of Thugs of Hindostan. Thugs of Hindostan, featuring Amitabh Bachchan, Aamir Khan, Katrina Kaif, Fatima Sana Shaikh and Lloyd Owen. The film will release on November 8.
Directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya, the trailer is set in the British era with Amitabh Bachchan’s thugs crew and Lloyd Owen’s East India Company. Acting as a crook between the two is Aamir Khan. Fatima Sana Sheikh and Katrina Kaif also make brief appearances in the action-packed and CGI-loaded trailer.

It is based on Philip Meadows Taylor’s 1839 novel Confessions of a Thug. Thugs of Hindostan is set in the year 1795. The film’s plot is based on Philip Meadows Taylor’s 1839 novel Confessions of a Thug, about a thug (also known as a thuggee) called Azad, whose gang of thugs posed a serious challenge to the British Empire in India during the early 19th century. The film tells a fictional story set between 1790 and 1805.
The film’s production budget is ₹210 crore (US$29 million), making it the most expensive Yash Raj Films production, along with Tiger Zinda Hai (2017). Filming commenced on 5 June 2017 in Malta. The film was shot in Mehrangarh Fort, Jodhpur. It was also filmed in Thailand. The film’s climax will be filmed in Rajasthan.
