“Waldenwoods Eco Village” to be set up in Odisha

Cuttack: Waldenwoods foundation, a Delhi based regd. charitable trust dedicated for rural uplifment by creating some Smart Eco Villages (Tourism Models) in Rural Areas which will generate huge employment and also it will not pollute the ecology, has decided to step into Odisha to explore the huge potential in Tourism, where the availability of Oxygen percentage is high. To start its journey in Odisha, we have identified a location which touches the North east edge of Kaplilash (Hills) wildlife sanctuary and it is only 60 kms from State Capital Bhubaneswar and its centre of 3 districts like Cuttack, Jajpur and Dhenkanal in the name of Waldenwoods Eco Village. The aim of Waldenwoods Foundation is taking the urban people back to village by creating some recreational amenities and Promoting Organic Farming.

To protect the ecology the Foundation has plan to Promote memorial plantations called “Waldenwoods Smruti Vana” where anyone can plant a tree in memory of any loved one. To start its journey in Odisha, the trust organised a Pre-Launch function at Hotel Pramod, Cuttack where Mr Gokul Patnaik( Retd. IAS) f­­rom Delhi, Dr Kishanlal Agarwal(Chairman, Bharatiya Charitable Trust), Mr Santosh Ku Das , Mr Sitaram Sharma , Mr Ram Kumar Dash (Director, National Horticulture Board, Odisha) and Dr. Purna Chandra Mohapatra (Eminent Gynaecologist) attended the event as special Guests. In the same event some eminent persons of Odisha were felicitated for their contribution to society like Senior Journalist Mr Sriram Dash, Mrs. Namrata Chadha , Mr. Mihir Sahu (CA), Adv Soumya Ranjan Mishra, Dr. Ranjan Mohanty, Architect Bibhuti Bhusan Mohapatra, Mr. Kishor Kumar Bisi and Navpreet Arora. The meeting was presided by Mr Suresh Verma on behalf of Waldenwoods Foundation.
