Bhubaneswar: Vodafone Idea has managed to revive network connectivity in large parts of the cyclone Fani affected areas of Odisha. Over 1500 sites have been revived since the day the cyclone hit the coast, enabling not just Vodafone Idea customers but almost 4.5 lakh* mobile users of other operators also to use the VIL network on ICR.
VIL became the first operator to restore services in key locations of Puri, within a short span of time, and its 3G and 4G services are now available across majority of the network in the impacted areas.
Despite the high magnitude of the cyclone, VIL’s proactive planning, 24×7 network monitoring and close working with various Government authorities, partners and other operators ensured quick restoration of network connectivity in the region.
