Vice Admiral Karambir Singh the chief of  Eastern Naval Command visits Sainik School 

Bhubaneswar: Vice Admiral Karambir Singh, PVSM, AVSM, Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Eastern Naval Command, Visakhapatnam visited Sainik School Bhubaneswar.  Since after he has taken over as the Chairman Local Board of Administration of the school it was his first official visit to preside over LBA Meeting with the State Government Officials.
Vice Admiral Singh was commissioned into the Indian Navy in July 1980 and earned his wings as an helicopter pilot in 1982.  Prior to joining Eastern Naval Command he has taken over as Vice Chief of the Naval Staff.  Under the Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief the Eastern Naval Command extends naval support on the shoreward of Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, West Bengal, Tamilnadu, Island chain of Andaman and Nicobar.
On his arrival Capt (IN) Kanchan Mukherjee, Principal Sainik School Bhubaneswar extended him a warm welcome and the senior cadets of the school displayed a spectacular Guard of Honour in the presence of Dr. Prasanna Kumar Patsani, Hon’ble Member of Parliament, Rear Admiral Deepak Kapoor , Chief Staff Officer (Personnel and Administration),  Commodore K S Noor, Command Education Officer, Eastern Naval Command, Visakhapatnam, Mr B Pradhan, Senior Master, all Government Officials, NCC Officers, Staff and cadets.
Later the foundation stone of a new stadium was laid down by the School Captain Cadet Nitish Kumar in the presence of Vice Admiral Singh.  This project construction will commence soon under the care and supervision of the State Public Works Department.  Vice-Admiral Singh also inaugurated a forty-five seater school bus sponsored by the Govt of Odisha for the use of sainik school cadets.  In his address to the school fraternity, he assured that his office shall extend all necessary support and ensure Sainik School Bhubaneswar rises to greater heights in forth coming days.
