Bhubaneswar: In a move to strengthen the Jharsuguda District Management’s efforts in effective waste management, Vedanta Ltd. has donated 5000 dustbins to Jharsuguda Municipality. On 20th June, 2019, the first phase of distribution took place at Sunarimunda, where 100 twin bins (blue for dry waste and yellow for wet waste) were distributed to citizenry. On the occasion, Shri Satyanarayan Dash, Project Director – DRDA Jharsuguda, and Shri Ramachandra Pradhan, Executive Officer – Jharsuguda Municipal Corp., graced the occasion as honorable dignitaries on dias. The District Administration aims to provide every household in the district with dustbins for proper waste segregation so effective waste management can be undertaken at district level.
Mr. Sundar Raj, Head – CSR, Vedanta Ltd., Jharsuguda said, “We have and will continue to work in close coordination with the District Administration for betterment of people of Jharsuguda.”
