Urns filled with ashes of former PM Vajpayee brought to Odisha, to be immersed in Puri tomorrow

Bhubaneswar: Urns filled with ashes of former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee reached in Odisha. Former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee ashes will be kept at Odisha BJP headquarters for public darshan and will be immersed in Puri Mahodadhi tomorrow.

State party president Basanta Panda received Urns filled with ashes of former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP President Amit Shah handed over the ashes of the late leader to state unit presidents of the BJP at a function in New Delhi on Wednesday. Union Ministers Rajnath Singh, Sushma Swaraj and family members of Atal Bihari Vajpayee were present on the occasion.

Urns of the ashes of late former Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee at the BJP’s former headquarters on Ashok Road in the national capital. The party had decided to ensure that these urns travel to every taluka of the country so that admirers could pay floral tributes to the people’s leader.

Tuesday saw Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP President Amit Shah, unION Home Minister Rajnath Singh and External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj gather along with senior leader Ram Lal and Vajpayee’s family members at the old headquarters to hand over the urns to President’s of the party’s state units from all over the country.
