Bhubaneswar: Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan unveils statue of former PM late AtalBihariVajpayee at AIIMS, Bhubaneswar. Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Wednesday pointed out that the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Bhubaneswar is the contribution of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
Pradhan was attending a programme of unveiling of a life-size statue of Vajpayee in the AIIMS premises here. The statue and several facilities for patients were unveiled by Union Health and Family Welfare Minister Harsh Vardhan.
Pradhan thanked the AIIMS, Bhubaneswar authorities and Mahanadi Coal Limited (MCL) for installation of the Vajpayee statue.
Stating that the AIIMS, Bhubaneswar has now 40 departments, Pradhan said the Union Government is fully committed to providing quality healthcare to Odisha and the AIIMS would fulfil the healthcare need of the Odisha and neighbouring States.
BJD MP Dr. Amar Patnaik, BJP MP Aparajita Sarangi, BJD MP Anubhav Mohanty & Congress MLA Suresh Routray were presented on this ocassion.
