Minister Pradhan appreciated the preventive steps taken by authorities for #CycloneFani and the speedy restoration of Railways Stations in Bhubaneswar, Khordha Road, Puri and Cuttack .
Minister Pradhan was informed that Khurda Railway division has suffered maximum damage due to #CycloneFani but is now slowly bouncing back to normalcy.
Minister Pradhan urged officials to provide basic passenger amenities such as potable drinking water and mobile charging points and facilitate use of stations as hygienic night shelter points.
Minister Pradhan was informed that Out of 18 pair of trains commuting to Puri, services of 10 pair have already been resumed and all pairs shall be operational by 12th May.
In view of the upcoming #RathYatra festival, Minister Pradhan suggested Railway authorities to repair the affected railway stations and foot over bridges on war footing to ensure passenger safety and comfort.
