UD Minister M.Venkaiah Naidu launches DDA’s incentivized offer of 12,072 houses

New Delhi: Minister of Urban Development M.Venkaiah Naidu today launched the Delhi Development Authority’s offer of 12,072 houses under ‘DDA Awasiya Yojana-2017’ of which over 99% houses are meant for the Middle Income Group, Lower Income Group and Janta categories. He urged the people of Delhi to avail the attractive offer.

Stating that DDA would be offering a total of one lakh houses @ 20,000 per year till 2022 to further the mission of Housing for All, Shri Naidu said that Real Estate Act that came into effect already and introduction of GST from tomorrow would bring the much desired correction in real estate sector.

DDA has incentivized this offer by removing the five year ‘Lock in period’ for resale besides retaining the prices at the 2014 level and addressing the infrastructure gaps. Moreover, the eligible allottees can avail Interest Subsidy of Rs.1.40 lakh to Rs.2.67 lakh under the Credit Linked Subsidy component of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban).

The houses on offer on ‘free hold basis’ are located at Dwarka, Rohini, Pitampura, Paschim Vihar, Janakpuri, Vasant Kunj, Narela, Jasola, Siraspura etc. Most of these are constructed as per Green Building Norms reducing the Carbon footprint.

The offer is open from today and closes on August 11, 2017 and draw of lots will be in the first week of November, 2017 which will be web streamed. Applications can be made both ‘online’ and ‘off line’ and only seven choices of locations are allowed.

The applicants will have to deposit registration fee of Rs.1.00 lakh for Janta and LIG/ One bed room units and Rs.2.00 lakh for MIG and HIG.

Application forms at a cost of Rs.200 each are available at various designated branches of SBI, Central Bank of India, IDBI, Axis Bank, ICICI Bank Ltd, HDFC Bank, Yes Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank besides DDA Counter No.11, D-Block, Vikas Sadan, New Delhi.

15% of the houses on offer are reserved for SCs, 7.50% for STs, 3% for Differently abled persons and 1% each for War Widows and Ex-Servicemen.

Surrender clause/Cancellation charges

After the draw of lots, 25% of Application Money will be forfeited if an allottee surrenders the offer before issue of demand-cum-allotment letter, 50% if surrender is made till 90th day from the date of issue of demand –cum-allotment letter and full amount if the surrender is made till 180th day from that of issue of demand-cum-allotment letter which is the date of Automatic Cancellation.

Unsuccessful applicants will be refunded within 30 days from the date of draw of lots ‘online’ only and if not, interest will be paid @ 8% per year. Site visits are allowed before applying.

Vice-Chairman of DDA Shri Uday Pratap Singh informed that DDA has so far built 4.25 lakh houses for the people of Delhi besides enabling availability of over eight lakh houses through 1,100 cooperative societies.
