Two-day National Conference on Child Rights Protection

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha State Commission for Protection of Child Rights in collaboration with UNICEF, Odisha and Department of Women & Child Development, Govt of Odisha is organizing two-day National Convention on Child Rights on 1 – 2 November 2018 in KIIT Convention Hall.

The two-day National Convention is organized on the occasion of 8th Foundation Day of the Commission. Around 100 representatives including officials of Govt. of Odisha, Chairperson, members and office bearers of OSCPCR along with Chairperson and Members of 16 other State Commission for Protection of Child Rights and UNICEF Odisha will join the convention.

Experts from the fields of education, Child Protection, Media, NGO and Judiciary along with government officials will also join the convention. Ms. Sandhyabati Pradhan, Chairperson of the OSCPCR has informed that, the convention proposes to develop a common understanding on the role and functions of commissions in upholding Child Rights in the states.
