About the Shera Mural competition:
This competition has been designed with the dual purpose of giving local talent a platform and encouraging communities to take ownership of spaces around the Pujo pandal. The theme for this competition is ‘Trishul Shakti’. Participating Puja Associations nominate a wall in their locality. Under the guidance of ‘Art Mentors’, volunteers from the community clean the area; then paint an inspiring mural a wall close to the Pujo pandals. Nerolac provides the paint for these murals. After painting the community pitches in to ensure that the area around the mural is maintained, giving it pride of place in local celebrations. The celebrity judges and two representatives visit the murals shortlisted after the first round of judging from Nerolac. The shortlisted murals are also showcased through a public vote campaign on Kansai Nerolac’s social media platforms.
