Bhubaneswar: A delegation consisting of top officials from Department of Sports & Youth Services, Odisha State Government, Sports Authority of India (SAI) and Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) met today at the KIIT Campus to discuss the on-going preparations for the first-ever Khelo India University Games to be held in Bhubaneswar.
The prestigious event, a brain-child of Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports (Govt of India), will be held in KIIT, Bhubaneswar from 22 February to 1 March 2020.
The review meeting spearheaded by Mr Vishal Dev, Secretary-Cum- Commissioner, Dept of Sports & Youth Services, Odisha, emphasised on quality and smooth execution of the event with best of facilities provided for over 5000 students who will be arriving from across India to compete in the multi-discipline sporting extravaganza.
The meeting was also presided by Mr Vineel Krishna, Director, Department of Sports & Youth Services, Odisha and Mr SN Meena, Senior Director, SAI. Also in the meet were Prof Achyuta Samanta and Ms Y Sarangi and Mr S Upadhyay, IAS.
