This is war; everyone has to fight unitedly- Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan

Bhopal: Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that the Corona crisis is very grave; it is a war in which everyone will have to forget all differences and fight unitedly. The government is making all efforts at its level, but we will not be able to control the Corona quickly without the full support of the society.

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan suggested having an immediate check-up if there are any symptoms of the disease and stay in home isolation or at Covid care centre and receive treatment. The government has made complete arrangements for medicines, doctor’s consultation, etc.

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that it is very necessary to break the chain of infection in view of the increasing Corona infection. He appealed to the public that no one should go out of the house unnecessarily till April 30. People should enforce public curfew in villages, mohallas, colonies, buildings etc. During this time, two or four persons should bring the necessary items. Mask must be applied while going out. Maintain social distance and follow other corona related precautions.

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that I am confident that with the cooperation of all, we will win this battle quickly. Corona will lose soon. He appealed to all religious, social, political and other organisations and public to cooperate in the fight against Corona.

All facilities in home isolation

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that the government is providing all the facilities for treatment of Corona in home isolation. An ambulance is also being arranged to take them to the hospital when needed. Patients who have less space at their home should stay in the Covid Care Centre. Apart from medicines, arrangements for food, tea-snacks etc. have also been made there. Covid care centres have been started in all districts.

Number of beds is continuously increasing

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that the government is continuously increasing the number of beds in hospitals. While we had a total of 21 thousand 159 beds available on April 1, today the number of beds has increased to 40 thousand 784. In the last three days, about 3 thousand beds have increased.

Supply of Remdesivir injections

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that from April 8 till now, nearly one lakh Remdesivir injections have arrived, including government supplies and private sector supplies. Today, a government supply of 12 thousand injections is being received from the Hetero company. On April 20, 20 thousand injections will be received from the Mylan company.

Oxygen supply is constantly increasing

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that oxygen supply in the state is continuously increasing. There was a supply of 130 MT of oxygen in the state on 8 April. It increased to 280 MT on 14 April, 350 MT on 16 April and 390 MT on 17 April. By next 30th April, the supply of oxygen in the state will be 700 MT. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan also thanked the Central Government for this. He informed that in addition, small oxygen plants are being started in the districts, and a large number of oxygen concentrators are also being sent.

Private hospitals can also be started in government buildings

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that private hospitals also have an important role in the treatment of Corona. He said that if any private hospital wants to start at this time, then government building and other facilities will be provided to it. A large Covid Care Centre has been started in Indore by Radha Swami Satsang Vyas.

Become Corona Volunteers

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that Corona Volunteers are playing an active role in the control of Corona. Anyone wishing to serve can call at 181 to become Corona Volunteer. So far, 97 thousand 500 Corona Volunteers have been registered in the state.
