‘Thile Diya, Nathile Niya’ Campaign To Serve Underprivilaged

Bhubaneswar: The campaign “ଥିଲେ ଦିଅ ନଥିଲେ ନିଅ” (Thile diya Nathile Niya), was originally conceptualized
and conducted by renowned social worker, Shri Mayadhar Nayak. He has subsequently
passed on the baton to Udra Odisha, a Non-Profit initiative by Akash Dasnayak. As we all
know, while in our communities we have several who are fortunate enough to afford
multiple outfits, several others hardly have any. With winters setting in, it is our duty to

ensure that the less privileged among us have a piece of cloth to keep themselves warm. It
is precisely for
this reason that Udra Odisha is offering a platform for people across Odisha and beyond to
donate their spare clothes, so that they can be distributed among those who need them
more.
The campaign will be launched on 30 th November, 2020, at 4 P.M. from an event held at
Pyaris Bakery, Bapuji Nagar, hosted by Shri Akash Dasnayak and Smt. Subhrajyoti Dasnayak,
and attended by several dignitaries, including Shri Dilip Tirkey, Shri Hari Prasad Pattnayak,
Dr. Surjiyaprakash, Shri Aditya Dash, Shri Prason Patro, Shri Biti Bhardwaj, Ms. Sital Patro,
and Ms. Debasmita Panda. As in previous years, it will continue throughout the winter
season.
As part of the drive, donation boxes will be installed at all Pyaris Bakery outlets in 12 cities
across India – Bhubaneswar, Paradeep, Cuttack, Berhampur, Puri, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur,
Mumbai, Kolkata, Pune and Hyderabad. Interested people may put their spare and new
clothes in these boxes after which they will be dry-cleaned by Washex Hospitality Solution
and then be distributed among the underprivileged across Odisha by Team Udra.
The drive has seen tremendous success over the last few years, which over 15,000 clothes
donated and distributed last year itself. Similar if not better response is expected this year
as well. In a year where each one of us has faced tremendous hardships, Team Udra
requests everyone to participate in the campaign, give a new life to their old clothes, and be
the reason behind someone’s smile.

The drive will be launched at
an event hosted by Shri Akash Dasnayak and Smt. Subhrajyoti Dasnayak on 30 th November,
2020, at 4 P.M., and graced by several dignitaries including Shri Dilip Tirkey, Shri Hari
Prasad Pattnayak, Dr. Surjiyaprakash, Shri Aditya Dash, Shri Prason Patro, Shri Biti
Bhardwaj, Ms. Sital Patro, and Ms. Debasmita Panda who have all kindly consented to give
their blessings for its success.
