The Coders Nation, NHRD Network organised a National HR Conclave on the topic, Women & Future-of-Work

Bhubaneswar: To mark the International Women’s day, The Coders Nation, a finishing school for Engineering & MBA Students and NHRD Network had organised a National HR Conclave on the topic, Women & Future-of-Work which was inaugurated by Hon’ble IT Minister, Electronics & Information Technology, Sports & Youth services, Shri Tusharkanti Behera in presence of Smt. Puja Marwaha, CEO CRY ‘child rights and you’ and Ex CMD NALCO Shri Tapan Chand. Distinguished guests Dr. Santanu Ratha, Director Personnel OMC & President NHRDN, BBSR, Shri. Rabi Samantaray, Shri. Amitabh Das, Founder, CEO, the Coders Nation, Ms. Bobby Patnaik, HR Head of Infosys Diversity & Inclusivity India and Vice President of NHRDN Bhubaneswar and many more Corporate HR & Business Leaders from different organisations were present as Guest speakers to grace the occasion.
The event will be followed by 4 panel discussions Future Jobs at Future Workplace, Leveraging Gender Diversity at Workplace, Women Entrepreneurship in India – Prospects and Challenges and key challenges and opportunities at the new workplace.
On this occasion Shri Behera said, “We are celebrating International Women’s Day to honour the achievements of women in various fields and I appreciate everyone present here to be a part of the Women and the Future of Work conclave. Gender equality starts at home. Parents are at the front lines of most significant influence on gender stereotypes for their children. And Gender sensitization is a must in schools, colleges and among corporate. Government also has gender equality policies but involvement of both male and female is needed in the formulation of these policies. Common ethical issues and economic insecurity in workplace must be reported to authorities and brought to light. On Future of Work- Artificial intelligence or machine learning that promotes industrial revolution is offering increase in future productivity, business output and revenue to the corporate houses that are adapting these techs. In these areas, female needs to be skilled, tech savvy and involved so as to be an integral part of the futuristic development.”
On this occasion Shri Amitabh Das said “Our Odisha is filled with exceptional talent. All over India and specially in IT Sector, Odiyas have done exceptionally well. However, the Job Requirements have changed now and it needs a completely different set of Skills than what was required in the past. In today’s challenging world of Jobs, it needs proper job oriented training focusing on Foundation Skills, Hands-on & Fundamentals of Programming & Technology. The Skills sets required to succeed in 21st Century Jobs is just not Technical Training but much more than that. This event was for the Students & budding Professionals to hear & learn from Top Corporate HR & Business Leaders on how to get into Future Jobs but also succeed in their career.
