Tata Steel BSL Observes 180th Birth Anniversary of JN Tata

Narendrapur: Tata Steel BSL, formerly known as Bhushan Steel Limited, celebrated the 180th birth anniversary of its Founder, the doyen of Indian industry – Jamsetji Nusserwanji Tata with fervour and gaiety on March 3, 2019 which is celebrated as Founder’s Day in all Tata Group companies.
The plants of the company, the biggest one at Narendrapur in Dhenkanal district of Odisha and in other locations including Sahibabad in UP, Khopoli, Chakan, Aaurangabad in Maharastra and Hosur in Tamilnadu wore a festive look where employees and their family members gathered in large numbers to pay homage to the visionary industrialist Jamsetji.
The theme of this year’s celebration was ‘Technovation’.
A special exhibition on the life and times of J N Tata and glorious journey of Tata Steel for more than a century was organised across the locations of its operations. Besides a series of sporting events was organised among the employees and their family members in all locations to mark the occasion.
For the first time, a contingent of 31 officers of Tata Steel BSL from across the locations in country led by its Managing Director Mr Rajeev Singhal participated in pageantry to pay homage to the founder in Jamshedpur.
