Bhubaneswar,: The 2018 edition of Tata Steel Art-In-Industry, the 3-day art camp-cum-exhibition concluded today at the Press Club of Odisha, Bhubaneswar. It is a platform that connects a diverse group comprising of eminent and emerging artists, youth, art connoisseurs and society at large. Mr Pradeep Kumar Jena, Principal Secretary, Water Resources Department, Government of Odisha, graced the occasion as the chief guest. Among the esteemed guests present on the occasion were Mr Arun Misra, Vice President, Project Gopalpur, Tata Steel and MD, Tata Steel SEZ and eminent artist Mr Vrindavan Solanki. On the occasion Mr Pradeep Kumar Jena said, “I would like to thank Tata Steel and its entire team for organising the Art-In-Industry camp. I was delighted to see the fantastic work done by various artists, the techniques used by them was fascinating, the quality of work was excellent. By observing their craft in person, one can know why such artists are known as legends and they are an inspiration for the upcoming talents. I request Tata Steel to conduct more such initiatives to promote art & culture in Odisha. I request Tata Steel and the State Government to regularly conduct such initiatives so that it will give a platform to budding artists to enhance their career” said Mr Vrindavan Solanki.Fifteen distinguished artists of India participated in the event to showcase their masterpiece in the camp. The three day camp facilitates cross-cultural learning and is also an exchange programme which allows interaction of the budding artist and art students with the some renowned artists of India. Eminent artists like Mr R B Bhaskaran, Mr Vrindavan Solanki, Mr Baldev Gambhir and a host of renowned Odia artists nurtured and encouraged the budding talents participating in the event. Leading Odiya painter Mr Manash Jena was the curator of the event.
