New Delhi: Supreme Court tells Central government that hospitals and private labs should not be charging people for a #COVID19 test. A procedure can be implemented for the government to reimburse hospitals and private testing labs for these tests instead. Supreme Court slams the high charge for COVID-19 test in India & says,’ Rs 4,500 fee is not acceptable’.
Supreme Court suggested & asked Solicitor General, don’t let private labs charge high amount. You can create an effective mechanism for reimbursement from government for tests, SC asked and suggested him. SG replied that they’ll look into it & try to devise what can be done best.
