Supreme Court passed around 22 directions in the interim order in the Jagannath Temple matter of Puri

New Delhi: Supreme Court today passed around 22 directions in the interim order in the Jagannath Temple matter of Puri, Odisha, including that of a permanent administrator for the temple to manage its administration.

Supreme Court directs Odisha government to appoint a full-time Administrator for Puri Srimandir. Justice Arun Mishra-headed SC bench directs SJTA to appoint a permanent chief & facilitate stay for 60000 pilgrims. SC asks Odisha govt to set up waste treatment plant in city, establish schools & colleges in collaboration with SJTA to promote Jagannath culture.

Supreme Court directs SJTA to establish schools to promote Jagannath culture and ensure safety of women devotees.
