Angul: The Principal of O.P. Jindal School, Staff members and students offered floral tribute on the portrait of Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, the former President of India while observing the Teachers’ Day today with a host of programme on the School premises.
Inaugurating the function as Chief-Guest, Mrs. Sujata Saraogi, President, Jindal Mahila Samiti(JMS) depicted in her speech the great role of teachers in making of a society and citizens of a country. Joined as the Guest-of- Honour Mr. Alok Malhotra, AVP- HR & ES, JSPL, Angul glorified the contribution of teachers commemorated in all walks of life.
While celebrating the Teachers’ Day, General Knowledge and Quiz Competitions were conducted by the teacher-in-charges. Mr. C.C. Das, Principal remembered the significant role of teachers in his welcome address in the assembly and speeches were made by the students and staff on the occasion commemorating Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan’s Birthday
Teachers were honoured by the Chief-Guest and Guest- of- Honour on the occasion.
