State women commission holds camp court at Jagatsinghpur

Report by Kahnu Nanda; Jagatsinghpur: The state women commission held a camp court in Sadbhabana Sabha Gruha at district headquarters on Tuesday, chairman state women commission Dr Lopamudra Bakshipatra chaired the camp court. As many as 50 cases were registered for hearing and disposal, from them 39 cases were taken up for adjudication in presence of complainants. After holding the cases five cases were compromised between parties, district superintendent of police assigned with one case for verification, 1 case was transferred to protection officer district women cell for negotiation, 3 cases were proposed by the camp court for spot verification and rest 29 cases were remained pending inconclusive and ordered issuing notices to different parties again. District collector Yamini Sarangi, SP Jaya Narayan Pankaj, women commission members Sasmita Nanda, Bandan Patnaik and Snehanjali Mohanty participated in this one day camp court. [Ends]
