Sport Climbing Training at The International Level Climbing Wall At Kalinga Stadium, Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: Indian Mountaineering Foundation (IMF) in collaboration with Dept. of Sports & Youth Services, Government of Odisha has set up a High Performance Center for Sport Climbing at Kalinga Stadium, Bhubaneswar with an aim to take the Indian Sport Climbing to International level. IMF plans to start training in sport climbing for the boys and girls of 10 to 16 years of age group with effect from 26 July 2019. Professional National/ International level have been hired to conduct the training.

Sport climbing is now an Olympic discipline making its debut in 2020 in Tokyo & 2024 in Paris. In view of this, IMF has planned a detailed roadmap with an aim to spread awareness about the sport and identify athletes at an early age. Registration has started at 10 AM on 18 July 2019 at Climbing wall site, North Stand, Hockey Complex, Kalinga Stadium, Bhubaneswar which is free of cost.

IMF also plans to build an Indian team for international level competitions. More and more children are welcome and avail this opportunity.
