Social Media Campaign to popularise devotional songs during Rath Yatra 2018

 

Bhubaneswar: OdishaLIVE, the premier digital portal from Odisha has endeavoured to create a divine atmosphere on the social media and engage the younger mass with devotional songs during this Rath Yatra. From Snana Purnima till NiladriBije, a 28-day cycle of posting devotional songs to Facebook is being undertaken by OdishaLIVE. OdishaLIVE campaign to propagate and promote devotional songs is named ‘He Chakanayana’. The title has been derived from popular Odia devotional singer Shantilata Barik Chhotray’s classic bhajan ‘He Chakanayana’, which will be the first bhajan on the campaign. The bhajan will be released for audiences on the day of Snana Purnima on www.facebook.com/odishalive.

In the campaign ‘He Chakanayana’, OdishaLIVE will bring to the audiences popular selected Odia devotional classics throughout the 28 days of the series. Few classic devotional songs that the audiences would get to hear are ‘Jagabandhu He Gossain’, ‘Chandana lagi Samaye Chitta Chintamaniki’, ‘Balirenu Mahabandha Sujane He’, ‘Se ta Bhakata Bhaba re Bandha’, ‘Bhuja tale Mate Rakha He Mahaprabhu’, ‘Chakanayanaku Patita Kehi’.

These famous devotional songs have been sung at various times by renowned Odia singers like Shantilata Barik Chhotray, Manmath Mishra, Susmita Das, Arabinda Muduli, Bijay Jena, Mahaprasad Kar, Sudha Mishra, Namrata Mohanty, Sourav Nayak among others.

Apart from listening these devotional songs on social media, audiences also get the opportunity to comment and discuss on the bhajans.
