New Delhi: Shri Upendra Prasad Singh, IAS (OR:85) assumed the charge of Secretary Ministry of Water Resources, River Development in New Delhi today. He will also hold additional charge of CEO, National Mission for Clean Ganga.
Shri Singh who originally hails from Bihar is a mechanical engineer-turned IAS. He has served in various Ministries such as Ministry of Steel, Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas and also as MD of Oil India Ltd.
Shri Singh succeeds Dr. Amarjit Singh, IAS (GJ:82) who superannuated on November 30, 2017.
