Shallu Jindal Receives International Honour

Bhubaneswar: Co-Chairperson of JSPL Foundation Smt. Shallu Jindal has been honoured with Best CSR Practices Award 2019 in Social Entrepreneurship. She received the award from Founder & Chairman of Life University Dr. Newton Kondaveti and Dr. Lakshmi Kondaveti at the 9th Best CSR Practices Award Ceremony organised by CMO Asia at Singapore on August 16, 2019. Leaders from Asia’s best select corporate and development organisations were present on the occasion.

Receiving the award Smt. Shallu Jindal expressed her gratitude to the Jury members and attributed the award to her team members, community and the social development vision of JSPL Foundation as well as the Jindal Steel & Power led by Sri Naveen Jindal.

Smt. Jindal has been honoured for her contribution to the society as well as art and culture of India. Under her direct guidance, the JSPL Foundation has promoted more than 7000 micro enterprises in farm, off farm and non-farm sector generating sustainable livelihood options for 3000 families and indirect employment for 40000 families. She has been able to command an ocean of trust from more than 1. 9 million families for JSPL Foundation’s inclusive health, education and other quality of life programme. She is also the Vice President of Flag Foundation of India inducting the glories and pride of the National Flag, the Tiranga in People of India.

A disciple of Padma Bhushan Guru Raja Radha and Kaushalya Reddy, Smt. Jindal is a highly accomplished Kuchipudi danseuse and a noted social contributor. She has been honoured with many awards for her outstanding achievements in the field of Indian classical dance (Kuchipudi) and contribution in the field of art and culture, education and community development.

She has compiled two books ‘the Tiranga’ and ‘Freedom’. She has also authored a book for children titled as ‘India: An Alphabet Ride’. She is the former Chairperson of National Bal Bhavan and the Founder President of Young FICCI Ladies Organisation and (YFLO). She has also founded Jindal Art Institute.
