Severe cyclonic storm YAAS weakened into cyclonic storm at 1730 hours IST; ‘Red Warning’ for 9 Odisha districts

Bhubaneswar: Severe cyclonic storm YAAS weakened into cyclonic storm at 1730 hours IST. Under the influence of high vertical wind shear over the region and weaker outflow in the upper levels, it would weaken further into a deep depression during next 3-4 hours says IMD.

SRC issues advisory to Collectors of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur, Cuttack, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar & Dhenkanal. Heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely to occur at a few places over these districts.
