New Delhi: Rajya Sabha MP from Gujarat and Treasurer of the Indian National Congress, AhmedPatel passed away in the early hours of Wednesday owing to multiple organ failure after he was diagnosed with coronavirus, his son Faisal said. He was 71.
Congress president Sonia Gandhi condoled senior party leader Ahmed Patel’s demise saying she has lost an “irreplaceable comrade, a faithful colleague and a friend” whose entire life was dedicated to the party.
