Sand artist Manas Kumar Sahoo created sand art to spread awareness about HIV/AIDS

Puri: On the occasion of World AIDS Day, international sand artist Manas Kumar Sahoo is spreading awareness to people through his sand art made at the Light House sea beach of Puri.

HIV/AIDS is a deadly disease. One can stay safe from this devastating disease through awareness and knowledge. Near the Light House golden sea beach of Puri, famous sand artist Manas Kumar Sahoo has created an awareness-based sand art where a structure of globe is made and it is shown how valuable is human life. It is through spreading awareness we can eliminate the scourge of HIV/AIDS. In this sand art he has made a Red Ribbon and has shown the devastating result of HIV/AIDS and the immeasurable suffering people go through it. If people can be made conscious they can save themselves from this deadly disease. “Community Makes the Difference” is this year’s theme. It is through community a change can come and an healthy and disease-free society can be established.

This sand art is of 25 feet in width and it took Mr. Sahoo nearly seven hours to make it. “WORLD AIDS DAY” and “Community Makes the Difference” are the message which has been given in this art. Students of his institute has cooperated him in making this art.
