Sainik School Old Boys Association (Oba) Distributes Relief In Unision With 120 (TA) BN

Bhubaneswar: During this crucial time of lockdown of our State due to corona crisis the Old Boys Association (OBA) of Sainik School Bhubaneswar has come forward to extend helping hands to the families of daily wage labourers in unison with 120 TA Bn. In this mission of them the volunteers of Jay Jawan Society (JJS) and BMC members have also joined. So far hundreds of families from marginalised communities, construction workers, slum dwellers etc have taken benefits from their assistance. At present this relief distribution has taken place at Damana, Nilapadia and Niladri Vihar areas. Every day they have been distributing grocery kits each consisting of 5 Kg of rice, Dal 500 gm, Potatoes 5 Kg, Onion 1 Kg, Flat Rice (Chuda) 1.5 Kg, Sugar 1 Kg, Salt 500 gm, Oil 1 Ltr, Milk powder 250 gm, Tea 100 gm, Turmeric powder 100 gm, phutana 100 gm, Body soap 1 No, Washing soap – 1 No etc. The Old Boys Association has decided to continue this distribution of grocery kits till this pandemic situation is under control and it may be extended further to the other parts of the Capital City. In making this mission effective and successful, the efforts of Gp Capt S Dominic Rayan, Principal Sainik School, Shri Amitabh Swain, President OBA, Shri Madhusudan Padhi, IAS, Vice-President, Dr Niranjan Padhi, Secretary OBA, Shri Tarun Mohanty, Treasurer, Col DD Swain, CO 120 TA Bn, , Shri Jogendra Sahu, Shri Pradeep Dash Mahapatra and other OBEANs were appreciated.
