Rotary Club of Bhubaneswar Confluence celebrates the Nation Builders Award ceremony and releases Dr.Adyasha Das’s book, “The Sacred World of Temples”

Bhubaneswar: The Rotary club of Bhubaneswar Confluence conducted its prestigious “Nation Builder Award ceremony” at the Rotary Bhawan, Bhubaneswar for the Rotary year 2020-21on 5th February. With a mission to achieve total literacy and Quality Education in India, Rotary International has launched the programme titled” Rotary India Literacy Mission”. One major component of the Teacher Support program is recognizing outstanding teachers through the “Nation Builder Award”. The recognition this award bestows instills in them renewed confidence and encourages them to perform better. On this occasion, the club awarded fourteen eminent teachers who have immensely contributed to the field of education. The awardee teachers are:
Ranjita Mohanty , Madhumita Sarangi, Mamina Anuranjani, Kshetra Mohan Pradhan, Ramesh Balabantray , Nabaghana Sethi , Pratijna Sahoo, Satyabhama Sahoo , Bipin Bihari Routray, Ramakanta Pati , Pratima Sahoo , Aviram Patra, Samarendra Sahoo and Anjali Mohanty .

The club today recognized another stalwart of the club, Rtn. Dr. Adyasha Das, a reputed academician poet, singer and author of series of books , by releasing her book “The Sacred World of Temples “dedicated to her father Late Shri Akshaya Chandra Ray, an eminent engineer and Rotarian himself. Published by Black Eagle Books, Ohio, USA, this book is a collection of experiences of the authors visits and travels to different temples and temple towns over time in India and abroad. and her understanding of spiritual spaces.

Rotarian Saumyaranjan Mishra, the District Governor of Rotary international district 3262 graced the function as Chief Guest, chaired by Rtn. Dr. Bishnu Charan Sahoo, Chairman, and District Teachers Support Committee. The Club President Ashok Sandal, Charter President Kailash Kanungo, Secretary Rtn. Pradeep Behera, Rtn. Dr. Adyasha Das and many prominent Rotarians of the District as well as the club were present along with distinguished teachers and educationists.
A music instrument, “Harmonium” was gifted to a Dibyanga girl student, Santilata Sahoo, studying in Plus 2 First year, Odishi Vocal, Utkal Sangeet Mahavidyalaya Bhubaneswar.
