Rich tributes paid to former Odisha Chief Minister Biju Patnaik on 21st death anniversary

Bhubaneswar: Rich tributes were paid to former Odisha Chief Minister Biju Patnaik across the state on his 21st death anniversary of the legendary leader today.

Chief Minister Shri Naveen Patnaik offered floral tributes at statue of legendary leader & former Chief Minister Biju Patnaik in the Odisha Assembly premises & Biju Patnaik Park. He reiterated that State Government, in Biju Patnaik’s footsteps, is committed towards all-round development of Odisha. He later visited the Biju Patnaik memorial near Swargadwar in Puri and offered tribute to the legendary leader, after whom the BJD was named.

Similarly, members and workers of the ruling BJD party gathered at the banks of Bindu Sagar pond near Sri Lingaraj Temple in the city led by State Culture Minister Ashok Panda and MP Prasanna Patasani and observed the ‘Tila Tarpan’ ritual.

Political leaders cutting across party lines and people from all walks of life paid rich tributes to Patnaik and recalled his leadership on the occasion.
