Bhubaneswar: Resolution passed in Odisha Assembly to demand increase of MSP of Paddy to Rs 2,930 per quintal . After 3 hours of discussion on the matter, a proposal to hike MSP on paddy to Rs 2500 per quintal has been presented by Pradeep Maharathy .On the other hand, the resolution after passing from the House will seek consent of the Union government. The opposition and the ruling party Legislators have joined hands for carrying stiff demand for the resolution.
Agriculture minister Pradeep Maharathy says House Committee will be set up in this session to meet PM. Minister says House Committee led by speaker with MLAs of all parties will be formed.
