Following an Orissa High Court order for inspection of the Ratna Bhandar, everyone’s eyes are on the secrets relating to it, where jewellery, most precious gems, diamonds and other valuables are preserved.
It was decided that either the King or his representative will be in the ten-member team which will enter the Ratna Bhandar for its assessment of the structural stability and safety today. Pattajoshi Mohapatra, Bhandara Mekap, Tadhau Karana, Deula Karana, two engineers of Archaeological Survey of India (ASI), two members of the ASI Core Committee- GC Mitra and NC Pal, and Advocate NK Mohanty, who has been appointed as Amicus Curiae by the Orissa High Court to inspect the on-going Jagamohan repair works are the other members of the inspection team.
