Bhubaneswar: The Rath Yatra of Lord Jagannath and His divine siblings is celebrated in Pakistan. The event was organised by the Pakistan New Veikunt Dham Bhakt Samaj (Gaudiya Math) amidst tight security.
A large number of people belonging to the Hindu community attended the event, where the Trinity in the Mari Mata Temple at Rattan Talao on the Akbar Road in Karachi was escorted out in a Palinki (palanquin) and later taken in a colourful procession amidst beating of cymbals and Mridangas.
The devotees were also seen chanting ‘Hari Bol’ and ‘Jai Jagannath’ during the procession.Tight security arrangements were also made to avoid any untoward incident and maintain law and order.
