Report by Kahnu Nanda, Jagatsinhpur: On the first anniversary of ghastly Pulwama terror attack, martyred Prasanna Sahoo statue was inaugurated at Parisikhar village under Sikhar Panchayat in Naugaon block on Friday.
Prasanna a CRPF Jawan had sacrificed live along with 40 CRPF personnel when convey carrying them had targeted by a suicide bomber of Jaish-e-Mohammad terror outfit at Pulwama on Srinagar- Jammu National highway on 14 Feb 2019.
A tribute ceremony was organized in martyred Prasanna Sahoo Parisikhar village, accompanying other events as blood donation camp, sports meet among school students, religious discourse was organized.
Villagers accompanying MP Dr Rajashree Mallick, MLA Prasanta Muduli, collector S K Mohapatra, CRPF DSP Rajib Ranjan Pratap, SDPO Priyaranjan Satapathy, local PR representatives were present and described late martyred was hero of Jagatsinghpur district.
On the other hand martyred Prasanna family members and few villagers have expressed unhappiness saying few promises given by government has not fulfilled, the promises included as renaming village school , building a village park in the name of martyred Prasanna and the death anniversary celebration at official level. Collector knowing the demand assured will take care it in future. [Ends]
