New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi to lay foundation for Talcher fertilizer plant revival, work to begin after monsoon. This was informed by the Union Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
Minister Pradhan said Rs 8,000 crore to be spent for FCI Talcher unit’s revival in Odisha. PNG Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and Union Chemical & Fertiliser Minister Shri Ananth Kumar Addressed a press conference on revival plans for Five Fertiliser plants. Modi Govt under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi ji is aggressively working to bring Second Green Revolution in Eastern India says Minister Pradhan.


“Revival of fertiliser plants at Talcher, Sindri, Barauni & Gorakhpur is vital to attain self-sufficiency in fertiliser production in India. The upcoming LNG Terminal at Dhamra Port in Odisha will be the supply point of LNG to 3 Fertiliser Plants at Sindri, Barauni & Gorakhpur. Fertiliser Plant at Talcher in Odisha will be getting its feedstock through the Gas obtained from advanced technology of Coal-Gasification. The total investment on the revival of Four Fertiliser Plants at Talcher, Sindri, Barauni & Gorakhpur will be in tune of Rs.30,000 Crores. The Cumulative Investment(incl fertiliser plants, pipeline & LNG Terminal at Dhamra) in Eastern India will be more than Rs. 50,000 Crores. Such a huge investment is rare in the history of Eastern India & will give major boost to Economic Activities & create thousands of jobs. Hon’ble Prime Minister will be laying the Foundation Stone of Fertiliser Plants at Talcher, Sindri, Barauni & Gorakhpur after the Monsoon,” says Minister Dharmendra Pradhan
