Bubaneswar: Prestigious Raja Ravi Varma awards conferred to acclaimed artist Vikram Nayak who hails from Odisha. Artist Vikram Nayak received the award from Honourable Governor of Haryana Sri Kaptan Singh Solanki in a function held in Mumbai On the eve of Gandhi Jayanti organised by Megh Mandal Sanstha.
Megh Mandal Sanstha, a non-profit organization organized their third annual event ‘Chaitranjali’ which felicitated selected talented artists of India. The event was intended towards honoring the much celebrated Indian painter Raja Ravi Varma on his 111th death anniversary. Honorable Union Minister of State for External Affairs Government of India – General Sri VK Singh and Shiv Sena MP Sri Arvind Singh along with the veteran actor Gulshan Grover and Yashpal Sharma honoured to be the special guests of Megh Mandal Sansthan.
The proud winners of Raja Ravi Varma awards were Shobha Broota ,Vikram Nayak & Vipul Chandra Das from Delhi, Vinod Sharma from Mumbai, Dr.Ram verain Jain UP, Anjini Reddy from Hyderabad, Shashikant Dotre from Sholapur, Maharashtra, Rekha Rao Mumbai Maharashtra.
It should be noted that Vikram Nayak is Delhi base a well known prolific fine artist, notable for the directness and energy of his visual communication.as a student & professional artist, Vikram received many national & international awards for his skills and activities in 2D art forms.he is establishing a solid and wide based career that demonstrates a strong commitment to discussing the ethics of community relations and commerce.Exhibitions and commissions have taken his art to Greece, Bangkok,Australia, France, Germany, America and the Netherlands.
