Reporter by Basant Rath, Nabarangpur: The preparatory meeting for the celebration of the Annual Tribal Cultural festival Mondei-2017 was held at the Mission Shakti conference hall under the chairmanship of District Collector, Rashmita Panda, here on Monday. It was decided for the inaugural function of Mondei will kicks off on 19th November from Jagannath temple of Indravati under Tentulikhunti block. The block level Mondei will kicks off from 19th November and the district level festival will be from December 7th to 9th.
The festivals will have cultural programmes consisting of dance, songs, sports, traditional music, and recitation of Poem besides five day palishree mela.
District council of culture secretary and DIPRO, Subash Nial presented the details for the preparation of Mondei. District planning committee chairperson Manohar Randhari, special development council chairperson Motiram Nayak, Chairperson of Municipalty Basanti Soura, Minister Representative Pramod Padhy, with district council of culture members and volunteers participated in the meeting.
