Jubail: Utkailkia, An association of Pravasi Odiyas in Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia, welcomed English New year 2020 with great fanfare at Jubail. With a theme of Woman Empowerment , New year was welcomed by lighting the lamps by Utkailka ladies and new year cake was cut by all the Girl Kids.
Utkailka Cooking Fest was Organized and participated by All Utkalika ladies by guidance of Mrs. Kunkun Das with great interest and traditional Odia Food. The cooking show was inaugurated by Mr. Binod Sahoo.
Cultural programme was carried out by it’s Cultural coordinator Mr. Bana Bihari Mohanty. The events featured Odishi , dance, songs, Skit etc. All members participated in outdoor games with lot of fun.
An Odia Quiz competition was carried out between Eastern Odisha, Western Odisha, Northern Odisha, Southern Odisha and Central Odisha . Southern Odisha team raised the trophy for Utkalika Quiz 2020 after main and rapid fire round.
Children of Utkalika members have been Bestowed for their active participation in cultural programme. All the Cooking fest participants were felicitated by certificates and gifts.
The whole programme was actively participated by its core committee members Ajay Das, Ajith Jena, Jayanta Mohapatra, Keshab Rao, Sudhir Senapati, Chinmaya Kar, Umakanta Padhi, Mustafa Baig, Bikash Rout ,Chinmaya Prasad Lenka, Manas Mohapatra, Girija Pujharee, Radhesyam Ram, , Maheswer Jena, Anshuman Mohanta, Subashish Samanta Ray, Prabhat Satapathy, Prashant Sahoo,Srikant Biswal,Sushant Acharya, Tehera Anwar,Dibakar panigrahy, Babu Sahoo and many.
