Surat: Prime Minister Narendra Modi flagged off the ‘Run for New India’ Marathon in Surat, Gujarat.
PM Modi addressing the event said, ‘To build a New India is our mission. It is the best tribute to the great women and men who gave their lives for India’s freedom’.
The marathon will highlight the government’s intiatives for building of New India.
The marathon held in four categories – 42.2 km (full marathon), 21.1 km (half marathon), and 10-km and 5-km fun run.
