PM Narendra Modi reviewed progress of different schemes, projects implemented in eight States, including Odisha

Bhubaneswar: In the first Pragati (Pro-Active Governance and Timely Implementation) meeting of the second term of NDA Government on Wednesday, PM Narendra Modi reviewed progress of different schemes and projects implemented in eight States, including Odisha.

This was the 30th meeting of the Pragati. In the last term of the NDA Government, 29 Pragati meetings were held whose main motto was to cut the clutter within the administration to deliver results.

Reviewing the Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana (Urban), PM Modi instructed the officials to ensure that all houseless get houses by 2022. In the Ayushman scheme, the PM was told that so far 35 lakh have got benefits of the health scheme.

Modi stressed on inclusion of more people in the scheme and its better execution.

The PM also wanted to know if there has been any malpractice and misuse of the schemes.

Similarly, the PM reviewing the Sugamya Bharat Abhiyan, suggested the use of IT to get suggestions for better implementation of the scheme whose objective is providing access to the Divyangs in public places and facilities.

Modi emphasized on the value of water and underscored the need to conserve water in the ongoing monsoon season. Besides, the PM reviewed infrastructural progress in eight projects concerning railway and road sectors.
