PM Narendra Modi lauds CM Chouhan’s Narmada Seva Yatra

 

Bhopal : Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi praised Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan and the people of the state at the inauguration of the world’s second biggest Sardar Sarovar Dam at Dabhoi in Gujarat recently.

Shri Modi freely praised Chief Minister Shri Chouhan’s “Namami Devi Narmade”- Narmada Seva Yatra for the conservation of Narmada river. Congratulating Shri Chouhan he said that the campaign to maintain the greenery of forests for Narmada river has also been launched by the Chief Minister. The yatra on foot lasted for about 8 to 9 months. A campaign to plant crores of trees was launched through which he has taken up the responsibility to ensure that the Narmada water does not get short in the coming century.

The Prime Minister congratulated the people of Madhya Pradesh and the Chief Minister to do this pious work. He said that such a work for river conservation has never been done before in the country. He said that several seers, several institutions are working towards conservation of rivers dedicatedly. All attempts for saving the environment are commendable.

Shri Modi thanked the people of the state for assisting in dam construction. He said that “I wish to respectfully thank Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan and the people of the state.” He thanked all tribal men and women who came forward in the project.
