PM Narendra Modi to inaugurate 2-day Investors’ Summit in Lucknow

Lucknow: Prime Minister Narendra Modi to inaugurate 2-day investors’ summit in Lucknow starting on Wednesday; Summit aims to generate 10 lakh jobs in the next 5 years.

Lucknow is all set to welcome business tycoons to woo big-ticket investment and industrial groups for the two-day mega event ‘UP Investors summit’ beginning on Wednesday.

The state government has taken initiatives to push ease of doing business to attract investment in Uttar Pradesh and making it an ideal destination for investment.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the two-day Summit which will see at least 18 Union ministers attending it. While President Ram Nath Kovind Will be addressing the closing day of the Summit on Thursday.

Uttar Pradesh government has formulated industrial policy to attract investment after reviewing policies of various states.

To make the summit a big success roadshows and awareness programs to attract investment from states like Gujarat, Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh.

The focus of the summit will be on the key sectors like farming, dairy, information technology, civil aviation, tourism, electronics, MSME, and renewable energy that will get investment, apart from that sectors like logistics, textiles and garments will also get investment.

The goal is to create 10 lakh jobs in next five years and to develop under-developed regions

Mauritius, Japan, Netherlands, Finland, Czech Republic, Slovakia and Thailand are partner countries

The state government has high hopes from the summit and it is expected that in the coming years Uttar Pradesh will become an engine of growth for the country and play an important role in making of New India.
