Bhubaneswar: Union Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas and Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Dharmendra Pradhan met Railways Minister Shri Piyush Goyal . Minister Pradhan discussed various issues related to Railway Projects & other concerns of people of Rourkela. Railways Minister Shri Piyush Goyal assured to put these projects on fast track & address the concerns of the local people.
Union Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas and Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Dharmendra Pradhan and Union Minister of State for Railways Rajen Gohain would dedicate passenger amenities works at the Bhubaneswar and Sakhigopal railway stations on December 30 (Saturday), informed an ECoR release on Thursday.
The facilities to be opened include 2nd entry and station building and new booking office with reserved and unreserved ticketing system on the Platform-6 side at the Bhubaneswar station. Similarly, a new booking office with reserved and unreserved ticketing system would be opened at the Sakhigopal railway station through a videoconferencing from the railway station here. Tourism and Culture Minister Ashok Chandra Panda, Commerce and Transport Minister Nrushingha Charan Sahu, MP Prasanna Kumar Patasani and MLAs Bijaya Kumar Mohanty and Priyadarshi Mishra will be present at the railway station here.
Similarly, Puri MP Pinaki Misra, and Satyabadi MLA Umakanta Samantray will be present at the Sakhigopal railway station during inauguration time.
Railways Minister Gohain is also expected to review the performance of the ECoR and the progress of various infrastructure related projects which are crucial for industrial development of Odisha and northern Andhra Pradesh.
