Raipur: Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel has announced that free corona vaccine will be provided to all people above 18 years of age in Chhattisgarh. The state government will pay for the corona vaccination for people over 18 years of age. Chief Minister Mr. Baghel said that we will take all possible steps to protect the lives of our citizens. Chief Minister said that the Central Government has been requested to ensure availability of adequate number of vaccines in Chhattisgarh.
Chief Minister Mr. Baghel has also appealed to all the eligible beneficiaries for Covid vaccination so that they can prevent the disease and avoid the serious complications caused by Covid infection.
It is noteworthy that the state of Chhattisgarh ranks fourth in the entire country in giving the first dose of Covid 19 vaccine to the age group above 45 years. If we talk about vaccination of sixty years age group and above, then Chhattisgarh is fifth in the country after Ladakh, Rajasthan, Sikkim and Tripura. 88 percent health care workers, 92 percent front line workers have also been given the first dose of vaccine. 51 lakh 25 thousand 640 corona vaccine doses have been used so far in Chhattisgarh. So far, a total of 50 lakh 55 thousand 698 vaccination dose, including the first and second doses, have been given to the people in the state.
