Bhubaneswar: All parks in the State will remain open from 6 am to 9 pm every day. A notification to this effect has been issued by the Housing and Urban Development (H&UD) Department.
In view of the busy schedules of people and to help them relieve from stress, the Government has asked directed all corporations, municipalities and private park authorities to equip the parks with modern facilities.
In order to make it more convenient for people residing in urban areas, the authorities have been asked to change the timings and put up large boards near the park entrances to inform public about the opening and closing time, and other facilities available at these places, said an official.
To keep people physically and mentally healthy, park authorities have been asked to set up open gyms, play areas for children and proper sitting arrangements in the park. Besides, separate space would be created for yoga, meditation and walk inside the park, he said.
